The Greening of the Holidays

Getting into the green spirit every day of the year

FOR THE THIRD YEAR we are presenting our annual gift guide, and it’s getting easier— and harder. Choosing stylish, practical, surprising green gifts now is easier because there are so many from which to choose. And it’s harder because there are so many…. toys, clothes, foods, ideas for pets, you know what we mean.

However you celebrate your holidays or spend your winter season, you’ll
find fresh, earth-friendly ideas in this issue: holiday cards that almost
recycle themselves, getaways that impact the earth as little as possible,
trees that green the earth after the season ends.
We’re also happy to see an increasing number of people sharing their
talents, time, and resources with those who are most in need. Our gift
guide also offers suggestions for charitable contributions.
Is the world getting to be a better place? We’re probably not ready to
say that quite yet, but it has certainly been gratifying to see, during
greenlight’s short history, so many more people getting the green spirit
for the holidays--and every day of the year.
